About Barley + Vine

Located amidst the emerging, vibrant suburb of Lakeville, Barley and Vine appeals to a wide range of diners by offering the comfort and familiarity of casual dining without sacrificing quality or originality. The concept is being led by Hospitality Resource Management (HRM),  a local restaurant group with five unique restaurants around the Twin Cities.

“Our menu aims to be moderately priced and have options for everyone. Barley and Vine is a space that accommodates a variety of moods and events: grabbing a beer after work, meeting your book club, or spending quality time with your family. We want everyone to feel welcomed and relaxed when they visit us”, stated Ben Berry, one of the restaurant’s owners and accredited sommelier and cicerone.

Head Chef, Kyle Moncada

Meet the man behind the cuisine, Executive Chef Kyle Moncada!

Having worked in the food industry for over 10 years, Chef started as a dishwasher when he was 15 and has worked his way up to his now Executive Chef position at Barley + Vine. He was previously a Sous Chef at the reputable restaurants Tavern on France and later the Mendakota Country Club.

“I love the environment that Barley + Vine offers; it’s what brought me here. The staff is great to work with”.

His passion for cooking came from his late Grandfather Charlie Moncada; he remembers grinding corn for hours as a young child to make tamales that would feed the whole neighborhood! His grandfather was known by many in the community for his passion for cooking – Moncada is eager to keep following In his footsteps.

Outside of his busy chef hours, he and his girlfriend are parents to their beautiful daughter, Charlie; he enjoys golfing and fishing in his free time.
